We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2022, at the age of 101, Willie Gilmore of Newberry, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Wilson Gilmore and Alexander Gilmore; and his children, Barbara Melvin, John, Spence and Ella Mae Gilmore.
He is survived by: his children, Wilbur Gilmore of Columbia, SC, Nathaniel Gilmore (Katanya) of Summerville, SC, Irene Scott, Emma Griffin and Sarah Lindsay of Newberry, SC; his stepdaughter Lucille Mitchell of Woonsocket, RI; and his grandchildren, Sharon Moon, Crystal Gilmore, Tyrone Griffin and Leon Gilmore. He is also survived by 57 great-grandchildren, 39 great-great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
