He was predeceased by: his parents, John Spearman Floyd, Jr. and Lucy Derrick Floyd; his son Travis Floyd; his brothers, Dr. Jack Floyd and Richard Floyd; and his sister-in-law Janice Epting.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann Watts Floyd; his son Troy Floyd; his sister Betsy Black (Wayne); his grandson Dustin Floyd (Diana); his brother-in-law Leland Epting, Jr. (Patsy); his nieces and nephews, Beverly Summer (Gregg), Faye Woodward, Katie Hare (Gregg), Anne Serio, Charlotte Gains (Steven), Michael Black, Richard Black and Frank Floyd (Brandi); and his great-nephew Brandon Woodward.
