He was predeceased by: his parents, William O. Pitts and Juanita Dickert Pitts; and his former wife Agnes Strickland Pitts. He is survived by: his wife Frances King McCullough Pitts; his granddaughters, Cindy, Jessi, Samantha Pitts of Silverstreet, Maria, Chris and Emily Gardner of West Columbia; his stepchildren, Dana, Alex, Katelyn, Tessa Taylor of Prosperity, Adam and Whitney McCullough of Lexington; his brother Walter; and his sister-in-law Barbara Pitts of North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to a charity of one's choice.
