She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Eugene Spencer Sligh and Matilda Clark Sligh (William Spearman Jr.); and her daughters, Carolyn E. Spearman and Miriam N. Caldwell. She is survived by: her children, Laconiyia Williams (Anthony), Jerry Spearman (Roberta) and Terry Spearman (Veronica); and her nieces and nephews, Willie Sligh and Deborah Sligh Mathis. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
