He was predeceased by : his mother Julia Ruff; his uncle Marion; and his aunt Lillie Mae Sims. He is survived by : his wife Barbara G. Sims; his children, Meko Sims, JerVonta Walker (Samantha), McKenzie Means (Jessica) and Shonda Sims (Sherod); his siblings, Ronnie Cannon (Vashtie) and Mary Mayers; his grandchildren, JerMir Walker, Jayden Means, Sakiya Bates and Kennedi Means; and his friends, Richard Grey and David Austin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
