In the vast expanse of eternity, Shirley shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Shirley farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Mae Myers Graham and George W. Hunter, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Curtis Lindsay; her children, Kirsten Lindsay of Newberry, SC, Glen Wright of Jacksonville, Curtis Cromer of Newberry, SC and Derrick Cromer of Newberry, SC; and her siblings, Jennie Okpobrisi of Mt. Juliet, TN, Gregory Graham of Newberry, SC, Willie Graham of Newberry, SC, Thomas Lyles of Columbia, SC and George W. Hunter of Newberry, SC. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fred B. Pratt Memorial Chapel (601 South St, Newberry, SC 29108). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
