She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Sims, Sr. and Essie Cook Sims; her close friend Anderson Shells, Jr.; and her siblings, J. C. Sims, Jr., Willie James Sims, Freddie Lee Sims, Robert Sims, Estelle Sims Penny and Fannie Mae Glymph.
She is survived by: her significant other Anderson Shells; her stepchildren, Stephanie Shells-Little (Kevin Thomas), Evangeline S. Hundley (Ronald), Amy Duran (Mike), Avery Shells, Anson Shells (Benzena) and Adolphus Shells (Tran Stanley); her nieces and nephews, Barbara Wheeler of Newberry, SC, Brenda Maybin of Newberry, SC, Magnolia Nance (Fred) of Newberry, SC, Mischele Trapp (Charles), Geraldine Kibler (Willie), Willie Sims, Jr. (Martha) of Newberry, SC, Melvin Sims of Newberry, SC and Calvin Sims of Newberry, SC; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Mark Anthony Glymph (Terricka), Robert Glymph (Jameka), Alisha Pitts (Brandon), Bryant Glymph and Shaneka Green (William); her sister-in-law Nora Lee Sims; her cousins, Barbara Sligh and Carol Cook; her close friend Carolyn Rogers; and also, Brianna, Robert Glymph (RJ), Evan, Josiah Green, Lauryn Pitts and Jordan. She is also survived by seven children.
