She was predeceased by : her parents, Allen Gibson, Sr. and Eula Bell Hodges Gibson; her sons, Archie Lee Dawkins, Charles Dawkins, James Earl Sligh and Allen Sligh; and her siblings, Allen Gibson, Jr., Hoover Gibson, Whitney Gibson, Arlee Gibson, Heyward Gibson, Willie Gibson, Estelle Belton, Queen Boler, Irene Young and Eula Mae Henderson.
She is survived by : her children, Lewis Dawkins of Newberry, SC, Gloria Chapman of Newberry, SC and Linda Sligh of District Heights, MD; her sister Mildred Bailey of Fort Washington, MD; and her grandchildren, Kenny Dawkins, Toy Dawkins, Patricia Goree (Donnie), Sandra Sligh, Edward Sligh (DeeAnn), Vivian Sligh, Davis Sligh, Gerald Sligh (Keela), Gail Sligh, Ebony Sligh-Davis (Willie), Darryl Chapman and Ericka Miles (Terrence). She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, 27 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
