He was predeceased by: his parents, David Cannon and Lula Cannon; his wife Dorothy Cannon; his daughter Cynthia Cannon; and his siblings, Mary Cannon, Elbert Cannon, Eddie "Mack" Cannon, David Cannon and Ollie Cannon.
He is survived by: his children, Roosevelt Cannon Jr. of Newberry, SC, Richard Cannon of Newberry, SC, Willie L. Cannon of Newberry, SC, Lorenzo Cannon of Newberry, SC, Welton Cannon of Ocala, FL, Velma Wise of Prosperity, SC, Loretta Alston of Charleston, SC and Rhonda Stephens; his sisters, Alice Rikard and Ada M. Cannon of Prosperity, SC; and his sister-in-law Margaret Horton of Philadelphia, PA. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
