He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Samuel and Kate Huffstetler Forbis; his wife Peggy Dickert Forbis; his in-law Susan Dickert Thomas; his sister-in-law Rosemarie Cavanaugh Dickert; and also, Daniel C Dickert, Sr. and Lera Duncan Dickert.
He is survived by: his daughter Connie Kesler (Mark); his grandchildren, Lexie Kesler Brown (Dalton) and Adam Kesler; his brothers, Phillip Forbis (Teri) and Doug Forbis (Sarah); and his siblings-in-law, Ronnie Dickert, Sr. and Sandra C Dickert (family: Laura, Jimmy Dallas, Mikayla Dallas, Hunter Dallas, Meredith Campitello, Bridget, Woody Prior, Courtney Stafford, Logan Stafford, Mackenzie Stafford Stonehill).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home – Newberry (1704 College St, Newberry, SC 29108). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Summer Memorial Lutheran Church (1609 Milligan St, Newberry, SC 29108).
