With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Young of Newberry, South Carolina, born in Winnsboro, South Carolina, who passed away on November 21, 2021 at the age of 63. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Young and Annie Ruth Shelton Young; her siblings, Renee Young, James Tillman Shelton, Donald Shelton and Curtis Young; and her brother-in-law James Bates.
She is survived by: her close friend Terry McFall; her children, Duran Robinson (Brandis) and Tyeisha Robinson (Khalil Sheppard) of Newberry, SC; her siblings, Willie Ruth Bates of Rock Hill, SC, Linda Stevenson (Willie) of Blair, SC, Cassandra Wright (Daniel) of Blair, SC, Neda Epps (Corey) of Irmo, SC, Willie Mae Coleman of Newberry, SC, Boisy Lee Shelton (Fannie) of Maybinton, SC, Sylvester Young (Julia) of Winston-Salem, NC and Julian Shelton (Peggy) of Newberry, SC; her grandchildren, Ashton, Mason and Kacie; her mother-in-law Nettie Gallman; her cousin Laura Cockel; and her niece Valerie Henderson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
