With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jolene Smith Lander (Newberry, South Carolina), born in Greenwood, South Carolina, who passed away on November 7, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles David Lumpkin Smith and Ruby Odell Twitty Smith; her daughters, Terrie Lander Duffy and Vickie Lander Beckham; and her sister Bonnie Gail Malasky.
She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" A. Lander; her children, Britt Snelling (Howard) of Fort Mill, Leslie Orr of Newberry, Gail Floyd (David Lewie) of Lexington and Jeannie Brehmer (Henry) of Kinards; her grandchildren, Shannon Beckham Berley (Will) of Prosperity, Andrew Beckham (Nichole) of Blair and Samuel Beckham (Courtney) of Spartanburg; her sister Sandra Jean Collins; her friend Kathy Sadler; and her caregivers, Janis Gary, Margaret Ruff, Brenda Floyd, Dr. Michael Bernardo and Dr. Tom Bradberry. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
