He is survived by: his wife Linda Cooper Mathis; his children, Felicia Mathis of Newberry, SC, Fannie Mathis of Newberry, SC, Pamela Mathis of Newberry, SC, Marquitta Hunter of Washington, DC, Earline Counts of Newberry, SC, Nicholas Mathis (Kameia) of Blair, SC, James Garmany, Earl Counts and Robert Garmany; and his siblings, Carrie Camack of Blair, SC and T. J. Mathis of Newberry, SC. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.
Due to the current health crisis, all in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
