He is survived by: his sons, James B. McCartha of Prosperity, C. Wayne McCartha of Columbia and Gerald "Jerry" Carver (Sue) of Waterloo; his sisters, Mary Frances Hembree of Newberry and Ruby Lake (Alton) of Prosperity; his daughter-in-law Joyce McCartha of Chappell; his brother-in-law Charles Leopard of Newberry; and his close friend Marcella Lake. He is also survived by nine grandchildren twenty great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren.
