He was predeceased by: his mother Julia K. Caldwell. He is survived by: his sons, Arkevius Terrel Elkins of Newberry, SC and Joshua Ruff (Rokeisha) of Newberry, SC; his father John D. Caldwell, Sr. (Irene); his siblings, Kathy Wilson of Newberry, SC, Barbara Moore (Darren) of Lexington, SC, Andrea Sims (Rendell) of Newberry, SC, Cherie Caldwell of Newberry, SC, Curtis Caldwell of Newberry, SC, Terry Caldwell (Rhonda) of Winston-Salem, NC, Craig Caldwell of Newberry, SC and Kenneth Caldwell of Newberry, SC; his grandchildren, Kayden M. Elkins, Jamere Crooks, Makayla Crooks and Carmelo Counts; his aunts, Jesse Maybin of Newberry, SC, Ada Bookman (James) of Newberry, SC, Patricia Richardson of Newberry, SC and Louise Shelton of Newberry, SC; and his cousin Diane Bunn. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
