She was predeceased by: her spouse Colonel Daniel Ward Hancock; her parents, Thomas Kennerly and Jeanne Pelham Johnstone; and her siblings, Alan, Thomas, Ellerbe Johnstone, Brantly Alexander and Lilla Breazeale.
She is survived by: her children, Pelham H. Edmonds (Robert) of Charlotte, Jeanne H. Burgess (Richard) of Spartanburg and Daniel Ward Hancock, Jr. (Ann) of Easley; her grandchildren, Amanda Hunt (Will), Ward Burgess, Richard Burgess (Holly), Laura Holt (Nick), Daniel Hancock (Angela) and Brantly Moore (Kent); and her great grandchildren, Georgia, Amelia Hunt, Sara, Andrew, Julia Burgess, Charlotte Holt, Joel, Martin and Derek Hancock.
