She was predeceased by: her parents, Laurence David and Ruth Dominick Wicker; her siblings, David, Raymond Wicker and Patsy Crouch; and her granddaughter Liana Simmons.
She is survived by: her husband E. Charles Simmons, Sr.; her children, Emory C. Simmons, Jr. (Carole Lynn) of Indian Trail, N. C. and Susan S. Martin (Cecil) of Irmo, S. C.; her grandchildren, Charles Cathey (Amber) of Summerville, S. C., Jessica Mack (Beau) of Charlotte, N. C., Joseph Simmons of Charlotte, N. C. and Joy Simmons of Charlotte, N. C.; and her great grandchildren, Kelsey Rebeck, Allison, Elizabeth Cathey, George, Miles and Walter Mack. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to Central United Methodist Church.
