James Waters Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Waters of Newberry, South Carolina, who passed away on July 20, 2020 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bennie and Lillie Hawkins Waters; his siblings, Dorothy W. Hawkins, Bennie Lou W. Shealy and Frank Waters; and his nephews, Leland Barnette Waters and Michael Waters.
He is survived by: his wife Mickey Barnette Waters; his sons, Bobby Waters (Leanne) and Brad Waters (Melodie); his grandchildren, Loren W. Cook (Will), Brett Waters, Allie Waters, Lillie Waters and Mollie Waters; his great grandchild Raine Cook; his siblings, Betty W. Schumpert (Billy), Frances W. Gresham Connelly (Tommy) and Earl Waters (Betty Lou); and his sisters-in-law, Dale Barnette and Tina Hatch (David). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Those attending the service are reminded of the COVID 19 social distancing requirements and those attending are also invited to bring umbrellas for personal shade.
Family and friends may stop by McSwain-Evans Funeral Home between the hours of 10:30 am and 5:00 pm Tuesday to sign the guest register and view Mr. Waters. in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, church or the charity of one's choice.
