He was predeceased by: his parent Willie Mae Dawkins. He is survived by: his children, Valarie Anette Jessie and James W. Jackson, Jr. of Newberry, SC; his siblings, Mildred Johnson, Beatrice J. Glenn, Charles Jackson of Washington, DC and Eugene Jackson of Washington, DC; and also Zenda Longshore. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren; one aunt.
