He was predeceased by: his parents, H. Wilson Long and Mary Ruth Hughes Long. He is survived by: his son James "Jim" Houston Long (Carly) of Fountain Inn; his grandsons, Maddox, Brody and Zachary Long; his sister Mary Susan Mazza (Kenneth "Kenny") of Newberry; his niece Jennifer Alewine (Tim) of Pomaria; and his close friend Lamont Glasgow.
