He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Garnett and Annie Kesterson Garnett; and his siblings, William Garnett, Walter Garnett, Drucilla Kauke and Bruce Garnett.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mamie Alice Farr of Belmont, NC, Lavone Coats of Newberry and Donna Davenport (Ronnie) of Newberry; his nieces and nephews, Billy Farr of Joe Farr, Ala, Eric Davenport, LuAnn Pitts, Cindy Pitts, Patricia Anderson (John), Sherrie Neal and Teresa Good; and his sister-in-law Lois Garnett of Belmont, NC. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, fifteen step-great-grandchildren.
