He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Fredrick and Jessie Mae Derrick Hendrix; and his siblings, W. P. Hendrix and Mary Hendrix Longshore. He is survived by: his children, Alicia Attaway (William) of Pomaria and Chad Hendrix (Eiko) of Pomaria; his granddaughter Megan Johnson; his sister Dollie Creekmore of Newberry; and his sister-in-law Linda Hendrix. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
