He was predeceased by: his parents, David Gray, Sr. and Nellie Rae Gladney Gray; his daughter Annette Shealy; and his siblings, David Gray, Jr., Charles Gray, Baby Gray and Christine Boyd.
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Johnson (Sean, Sr.); his grandchildren, Sean Johnson, Jr. (Daphne) and Rasheda Johnson Smith (Preston); his brother Plato Gray (Narvis); his brother-in-law Taff Boyd; and his niece Audrey Eigner. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
