We bid farewell to Gloria D. Chapman of Newberry, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 8, 2024 at the age of 68. Gloria touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas "Tuck" Sligh and Rosa Lee Gibson Sligh. She is survived by: her children, Ebony Sligh Davis of Newberry, SC, Gail Denise Sligh of Newberry, SC and Darryl Chairman Chapman of Newberry, SC; her sister Linda Sligh of District Heights, MD; her aunt Mildred Bailey of Maryland; her grandchildren, Tekeyia Sligh, Isis Gary, Mantrevis Sligh and Jamarion Sligh; her great grandchildren, K'amarri Sims, Keshawn Sims, Aniyah Williams and Amir Carter; her stepdaughter Brianna Jacobs; her stepgrandchildren, Londyn Jacobs and Rylan Jacobs; her close friend Thomas Sims; and her goddaughter Kimbalee Baker. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Seekwell Baptist Church (6166 Brazelmans Bridge Rd, Whitmire, SC 29178).
