He is survived by: his parent Jeffie Jean Davis Adams; his children, James Russell Adams, Jamie Laurie Adams, Shelly Adams, Deanna Baker (Dee Dee) and Sylvia MacFarlane; and his sisters, Glenda Wise and Betty Byrd.
