He is survived by: his wife Evelyne Brooks; his children, Belinda Bates of Forest City, NC, Capricious Brooks of Newberry, SC, Melvin Pitts (Angela) of Winnsboro, SC, Prentiss Brooks (Delia) of Columbia, SC and Scott Williams (Kathy) of Prosperity, SC; his brother Bernard Brooks of Lexington, SC; and his grandchild Ronkavious Wise. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren, eight sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
