He is survived by: his wife Frances Jones; his son Michael Ruff of Newberry, SC; his adoptive daughter Tyressa Cunningham of Newberry, SC; his brothers, James "Tim" Ruff of Rock Hill, SC, Tony Jones and Travis Jones of Pomaria, SC; his uncle Walter Ruff; his aunts, Nita Francis of Prosperity and Donna Counts of Little Mountain, SC; and his cousins, Rev. Richard Williams and Marvin Williams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Saint Matthew Baptist Church (61 Boundary St, Newberry, SC 29108).
