He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane W. Dean, Sr. and Gertrude Dewalt Dean; and his sisters, Janice Dean Gallman and Glennita Dean. He is survived by: his children, Kaneki Gray of Newberry, SC, Tremayne Cunningham of Batesburg-Leesville, SC, Carl Lever of North Carolina, Dewalt O'Neal Dean, Jr. of North Carolina and Carolyn Dean of North Carolina; and his siblings, Annette Hentz and Duane W. Dean, Jr. (Tonya) of Newberry, SC. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.
