She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna McCarty Payne Garnett and Jerold Clifford "J. C." Payne; her husband Hubert Roy Mills, Jr.; and her stepfather Homer Garnett. She is survived by: her sons, Hu Mills (Rachel) of Prosperity and Clif Mills of Newberry; her grandsons, Noah and Mason Mills of Newberry; her siblings, Jim Payne (Angie) of Rock Hill, Jeanne Blackburn (Jack) of Newberry and Lynn Siddle (Terry) of Irmo; and her sister-in-law Dottie Wilson (David) of Newberry. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
