It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Gency of Newberry, South Carolina, born in Rome, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 17, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fernando Capilongo and Ione Capilongo (DeCastro); and her husband Howard Clinton Gency. She is survived by: her children, Howard Gregory Gency of Crofton, Elizabeth D. Cunha (Douglas) of Knoxville, Tenn, Gretchen Boland (Gene) of Chapin, S. C. and Cynthia Gency Foster (Jerry) of Millersville; her grandchildren, Lauren Varholy and Jordan Varholy; her brother Romeo Capilongo; her nephew Mauro Capilongo; her siblings-in-law, Catherine Durkee and Junior Gency; and also Bruna Capilongo of Rome, Italy..
