With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Sims Jr. of Newberry, South Carolina, who passed away on October 18, 2020 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Sims, Sr. and Viola Chick Sims; and his son Elliott Sims. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Charles E. Sims, III of Newberry, SC, Alicia Renee Wallace (Bobby Joe) of Newberry, SC and Sylvia Hampton (George, III) of Philadelphia, PA; his grandchildren, Shavis Sims, Charlesa Sims, London Wicker and Jaquavis Fowler; his brothers, James Sims and Thorton Lee Sims; and his godsons, Dr. Robert Williams and Philip Hill of Atlanta, GA.. He is also survived by six aunts, one uncle, five sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
