He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Hipp and Ellie Black Hipp; his spouses, Johnette Whitman Hipp and Gloria Mitchell Eidson Hipp; his brothers, Olin Hipp (Dot), J. C. Hipp (Edith), Heyward Hipp (Dot) and Furman Hipp (Vermelle); and his brother-in-law Roy Stewart.
He is survived by: his children, Doris Lake (Tony), Dean Hipp (Andrea) of Saluda and Wade Hipp (Crystal) of Saluda; his stepchildren, Keith Eidson (Laura) of Leesville and Tonya Eidson; his sisters, JoAnn Coleman (Bob) and Judy Stewart; his grandchildren, Courtney Lake of Saluda, Jessica Reyes (Eduardo) of Saluda, Emily Hipp of Saluda, John Hipp of Saluda, Devin Hipp of Saluda, Grace Hipp Moore (Seth) of Saluda and Daniel Hipp of Saluda; his stepgrandchildren, Adam Eidson and Katie Eidson of Leesville; and his great grandchild Logan Reyes of Saluda.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ramey Funeral Home (202 N Rudolph St, Saluda, SC 29138). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bethany Methodist Church (363 Bethany Rd, Saluda, SC 29138).
