He is survived by: his daughter Shy Reese Koon of Newberry, SC; his siblings, Olin Gray of Newberry, SC, Audrey Wise (Terry) of Chapin, SC and Marketta Gray of Newberry, SC; and his aunts and uncles, Teresa Sanders (James), Priscilla Henderson (Jim) of Newberry, SC, Doris Nelson (Deloyd) of Prosperity, SC, Julia Barns of Shelby, NC, Robert Goree and James Sanders of Newberry, SC..
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home (64 Boundary St, Newberry, SC 29108). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Saint James AME Church (8321 US-176, Pomaria, SC 29126). A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at the same location.
