He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Eugene and Mary Lou Hawkins Piester; and his sons, Brian Piester and Bond Piester. He is survived by: his sister Elma Jean Piester Beaty of Hickory, NC; and his grandsons, Danial Piester (Katelyn) of Newberry, Dalton Piester of Kingsport, TN and Rylan Piester.
