She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie James and Daisy Mae Neal; her daughter Takeela Colleen Neal; and her siblings, Mary Florence Neal, Thomasina Neal-Griffin-Kirkland and Freddie Lee Neal.

She is survived by: her sons, Terrance Jovan Johnson and Akeeves Neal of Newberry; her siblings, James Heyward of Newberry, SC, Bennie (Geneva) of Newberry, SC, Johnny of Newberry, SC, Jimmie (Kristie) of Newberry, SC, Richard (Debra) of Newberry, SC, Calvin Bernard Neal (Carissa) of Newberry, SC, Jacob Neal (Donna) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Barbara Neal Swittenburg of Newberry, SC, Bessie Neal Hill of Newberry, SC, Genovia Neal of Newberry, SC, Pamela Neal Randolph (Curtis) of Newberry, SC and Rev. Carolyn Neal of Lexington, SC; her grandchildren, Nakenya Colleen Neal of Newberry, Alaina Johnson of Newberry, Isaiah Johnson of Newberry and Gabe Neal of Newberry; her former husband George Johnson, Jr.; and her close friend Videl Dawkins. She is also survived by three uncles, two aunts, four sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law.
