She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Clifton Ard and Cornelia Pope Ard; and her siblings, Jerry Ard, Ed Franklin Ard and Mellie Ard McIntosh.
She is survived by: her husband David Ronald Smith; her siblings, Henry Clifton Ard (Faye) of Moncks Corner, Larry Joe Ard (Dorothy) of Moncks Corner and Mary Ann Ard Davis of Easley; her goddaughters, Wendy Dawson Mullis of Gilbert and Grace Ellen Mullis of Gilbert; and her children, P. O. Box, Connie Maxwell, Ministries, Thornwell and Broad Street of Clinton, SC.
