We are sad to announce that on August 27, 2020, at the age of 86, Overseer Mother Mary Lee Davis of Nesmith, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Lee Davis of Washington and Seymour Brown Sr.; her foster parents, Wallace Hemingway and Hess Hemingway; and her husband Clearthur Davis.

She is survived by: her siblings, Leroy, Seymour, John Brown, Dorothy Speaks (John Henry), Mary Sharperson (James) of Columbia, SC and Henry Brown, Sr. (PA); her children-in-law, Joanne Poinsette Davis and Kwaku Darkwah; and her siblings-in-law, Cleveland Davis of Charlotte, NC, Alphonsa Davis (Hazel) of Rochester, NY, Marion Davis (Linda) of Andrews, SC, Viola Samuel of Andrews, SC, Odette Brown of Philadelphia, PA, Margaret Cooper of Rochester, NY, Louise Scott and Sandra Davis. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, church families and special friends.
