He was predeceased by: his son Kevin Edward Rentz; his father Leonard Rentz; his brothers, Aaron Rentz and Bruce Rentz; and also Josh Ayer.
He is survived by: his brother Timothy Ayer; his wife Vonda Ayer Rentz; his mother Mary Hite Rentz; his sisters, Frances Hoogenboom (David) and Miriam Taylor (Larry); his parent-in-law Carl; his brother Tim Ayer; his sister-in-law Deborah Ayer; his nieces and nephews, Kim Phillips (Freddie), Nora Ricard (Earl), Travis Henzler (Jennifer), Justin Henzler (Kate), Andy Ayer (Ashley), Mitch Ayer (Corey) and Tamara Ayer; and his great-nieces, Lauren Phillips, Dylan Phillips, Hunter Ricard, Blaine Ricard, Ashlyn Henzler, Karson Henzler, Leyton Henzler, Liam Henzler, Ella Henzler, Christopher McClure, James Ayer and Mason Ayer.
