He was predeceased by: his mother Inez Vandiford; his stepfather William Vandiford; his brother-in-law Gerald Crisp; and his granddaughters, Taylor Nicole Ownbey and Abigail Taylor Vaughn.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Johnson; his children, Caren Ownbey, Troy Vaughn (Lisa) and Kelly Welch (Mike); and his siblings, Lynwood Vandiford (Beverly) and Hughlene Crisp. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
