With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Jo Countiss of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, born in Aynor, South Carolina, who passed away on July 10, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Hubert Smith and Dorothy Smith; her children, Mike Countiss (Doreen) and Joey Barker (Brian); her sister Linda Mahaffey; her grandchildren, Kelly, Chad, Jack, Allison and Evan; her great grandchild Will; her husband Archie; and her brothers, Junior Smith and Bill Smith.
