He was predeceased by: his daughter Hope Vest; and his father Otha Dean Vest. He is survived by: his wife Janice Vest (Vanderhook) of Myrtle Beach; his mother Dolly Vest (Linkus) of Pilot; his son Michael Vest (Brenda) of Floyd; his siblings, Cindy Robertson (Dave) of Draper and Timothy Vest (Marsha) of Statesville; and his pets, Zoe, Molly and Gracie.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Grand Strand Humane Society.
