With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruby Lynn Smith of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, born in Morganton, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 23, 2024 at the age of 66. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Allen Hadley and Billie Louise Barrier; her husband James H. Smith; her daughters, Patricia Conner and Elisabeth Rochester; her son-in-law Chad Rochester, Sr.; her grandchildren, Brianna Banks, EJ Banks, Chad Rochester, Jr., Hunter Rochester and Carly Rochester; her great grandchildren, Rahim Glaze III, Nevaeh Gutierrez, Lorenzo Dungee, Paisleigh Rochester and Chadwick Rochester III; her siblings, Barbara Grady, Connie Stroupe, Yana Greene, Tonya Goodson, Kimberly Sorrow, Steven Grady, Michael Langdon and Robert Grady; and her great grandchild Jordan Dungee II. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews, other family and many friends.
