He is survived by: his parents, Jesse Zapata and Macaria Gil; his wife Maria A. Zapata of Myrtle Beach, SC; his sons, Fernando and Roy Jr.; his stepchildren, Kevin, Robert and Arianna; and his grandsons, Kevin Jr., Fernando Jr. and Elijah.
