He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger M. Essi and Madeline F. Essi (Dietels); and his brothers, Richard W. Essi and Ronald A. Essi. He is survived by: his wife Martha Essi (Weaver); and his children, Regina Spaeth (Steven) of Myrtle Beach, Rhonda Newhouse (Edward) of Charlotte, Rita Lasyone (Justice) of Humble, David Essi (Sarah) of Olympia and Michael Essi of Seattle, Washington. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
