He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley McDuffie Waters and Virginia Hill Waters; his son Kevin Waters; his stepson Christopher Simmons; and his stepgrandson Lane Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Harris Waters; his children, Christopher Seth Waters of Gaffney and Aimee Waters of Greenville; his stepdaughter Kathleen Gallman (Mark) of Gaffney; his sister Carrie Elizabeth Alman of Clyde, NC; his grandchildren, Megan Gallman Robertson (Matt), Krystan Gallman Smith (Cody), Colton Simmons, Emily Grace Waters, Elyse Thompson and Evan Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Lyla and Arya.
