She was predeceased by: her parents, Lossie Lee and Joe Albert Balkcum; and her grandmother Sug. She is survived by: her granddaughter Ashley Hoffman Hidalgo; her husband Edward Brown White; her grandchildren, Brian, Eve and Jessie (Jess); her great grandchildren, Kendall (Jake), Kaleb, Kason, Rafael and Maria; and her great great grandchildren, Tate, June and Lilian.
At her request, her body was donated to MUSC for scientific research.
