He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Floyd and Azalee Elizabeth Swilley; and his sister Mary Frances Barnhill. He is survived by: his wife Norvelle Swilley (Dibbie); and his children, Floyd Swilley (Laurel), Libbi Sheridan (Pete), Kim Edwards (Jerry), Jean Coombs (Jeff) and Kerry Braxton. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren and twenty- three great grandchildren.
