It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Scott Harriss of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, born in Hale Center, Texas, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Buddy Harriss and Karen Harriss (Fox); and his father-in-law Tim Laps. He is survived by: his wife Amanda; his son Austin Michael Harriss; his sister Debra McDowell; his brother-in-law Bruce McDowell; and his mother-in-law Cindy Laps. He is also survived by siblings, over 20 nieces & nephews, and many other extended family members that included aunts & uncles.
