She was predeceased by: her father Burbage Owens; and her brother Durwood Owens. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Howe; her daughters, Tracey Freeman (Doug) and Melissa "Missy" Whaley (Brian); her grandchildren, Rachael Freeman, Madison Freeman, Morgan Whaley and Brennan Whaley; her great grandchild Wallace Freeman; and her sisters-in-law, Connie Owens and Ruth Barrett. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
