We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2025, at the age of 79, Margaret Lorraine Chatham Ammons of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Margaret Lorraine Chatham leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Margaret Lorraine Chatham may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee Chatham Sr. and Mary Lee Bowers Chatham; her brother Robert Lee Chatham Jr.; and her sister-in-law Mary Edna "Chick" Ammons Pitts. She is survived by: her daughters, Leigh Chatham Ammons Meese (David Wendell Meese Jr.) and Tena Lorraine Ammons (Jody Wayne Ammons); her sisters, Linda Chatham Vereen and Betty Chatham Ellison; and her siblings-in-law, Steve Ammons and Martha. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Surfside United Methodist Church (800 13th Ave N, Surfside Beach, SC 29575).
